ProphyCare Red RDA120 60 ml - Prophylaxis paste based on hydrated silica

ProphyCare is one of the most famous brands of prophylaxis toothpaste in the world. You choose a prophylaxis paste after evaluating the degree of discoloration, the presence of exposed dentin or cementum, aesthetics and other restorative materials, areas of demineralization, etc. ProphyCare pastes are available in a variety of grits from coarse to very fine and are color coded for easy identification, making it easy to choose the right paste for removal of extensive tarnish and discoloration or for a final polishing finish.

ProphyCare Blue 250 and ProphyCare Green 170 are pumice-based toothpastes, used to remove plaque, tartar and discoloration caused by e.g. coffee, tea, tobacco.

ProphyCare Red 120 and ProphyCare Yellow 40 are finer ProphyCare hydrated silica pastes, used for the gentle removal of small amounts of plaque and light stains, final polishing of teeth, and polishing of implants, porcelain crowns and composite restorations.

The general recommended practice, depending on the clinical situation, is to use more than one paste. Start with a highly abrasive polish (e.g. blue or green) and finish with a less abrasive polish (e.g. red or yellow).

Our innovative one-step prophylaxis pastes - ProphyCare PRO and ProphyCare HAp - provide effective stain removal at the beginning of treatment, then the abrasive effect gradually decreases, giving the paste a final polishing effect at the end of treatment.

All ProphyCare polishes have a slight mint flavor and do not spatter, staying in the polishing bowl during the treatment. During storage, ProphyCare paste remains homogeneous and does not dry out, become liquid or separate. They are packaged in easy-to-distribute tubes and disposable cups, and are color-coded for easy identification. They can be used in combination with chlorhexidine.
