Zinc-eugenol oxide masses for prosthetic impressions.
Zinc-eugenol oxide impression compounds for dentures.
Zinc-eugenol oxide masses are one of the oldest and most frequently used materials for prosthetic impressions. They consist of zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, a eugenol compound and beeswax or paraffin. These masses are characterized by good adhesion to the soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity, which allows for precise impressions. They are used to make pre-prosthetic impressions and impressions to make crowns, bridges and prostheses. They have low costs and ease of application, but their disadvantage is long hardening time and low mechanical strength.
