• Glass ionomer cements - these are materials that consist of glass ionomer powder and polycarboxylic fluid. When mixed, they harden and form a permanent and strong bond that is similar to the natural tooth tissue.

• Chemocurable cements - these are materials that harden by a chemical reaction between the ingredients. They can be used in conditions where there is no access to UV light.
