- Fillings of class I and II cavities acc. Black's (cavities limited by enamel)
- Fillings of class III, IV and V cavities acc. Black
- Splinting traumatically loosened teeth
- Making foundations for prosthetic works, e.g. stump reconstruction
- In some situations, it can act as a base material
