Description

Synthetic hydroxyapatite

HA BIOCER is a synthetic ceramic material with the chemical formula Ca 10 (PO 4 ) 6 (OH) 2 , chemically and mineralogically (in terms of phase composition) corresponding to the natural inorganic component of bones and teeth, the so-called bone apatite. It is biocompatible with the tissues of teeth and bones as well as with the soft tissues of the living organism. Under the conditions of a living organism, it undergoes only minimal biodegradation and is considered a practically non-resorbable material. Enables active connection and overgrowth with bone tissue. The created biological fixation determines the stability of the implants and protects them against loosening or possible separation from the cavity.

HA BIOCER is produced in the form of granules with sizes from 0.5 to 1.6 mm.

Application:

HA BIOCER granules are used primarily as an implant material in the treatment of bone defects:

  • Periodontology:
    • filling cavities formed in the course of periodontitis (bone pockets) or peri-implantitis,
    • filling cavities created as a result of resorption of tooth roots in order to inhibit resorption processes.
  • dental surgery
    • filling cavities after resection of root tips, after removal of periapical granulomas and root cysts,
    • filling cavities after radectomy, hemisection or tooth extraction, including the removal of impacted teeth, in order to accelerate the healing of the resulting cavities and/or to maintain the proper height of the alveolar ridge,
    • filling cavities resulting from tooth root fractures with displacement, as a result of trauma and secondary inflammation.
  • Craniofacial surgery
    • filling cavities after removed cysts, benign tumors,
    • in the treatment of post-traumatic defects, after removal of a foreign body.
  • Orthopedics
    • filling cavities resulting from injuries or removal of degenerative changes within the bones.

Benefits:

  • protects against rinsing out of the clot and secondary infection of the empty cavity,
  • maintains the necessary height of the bone level,
  • creates favorable conditions for the rapid filling of the defect with bone or bone-like tissue.

Packaging: A single package contains one glass ampoule with a sterile product - 650 mg.
