Preparation used for root canal treatment of teeth
Iodoform has a long-term antibacterial effect, weakly anesthetic, dries exudate, inhibits bleeding, does not irritate periapical tissues. Iodoform in contact with tissue, especially with serous or purulent discharge, is gradually decomposed, releasing free iodine.
Application:
- Treatment of pulpitis in deciduous teeth combined with revitalization.
- Treatment of pulp gangrene in primary teeth and pulp gangrene in permanent teeth.
- Treatment of periapical inflammation in permanent teeth with unformed and formed roots with persistent exudate
