The Blind Cooperative SINPO was founded in Poznań in July 1951 by a group of visually impaired shareholders. For over half a century, the company has been engaged in extensive production and trade activities in various industries, with its own manufacturing, warehousing, and administrative facilities.
In the 1990s, the Cooperative established a cooperative partnership with the pharmaceutical company Polfa Poznań for the packaging of surgical threads. This collaboration enabled access to high hygienic-sanitary standards and modern technologies. However, the biggest breakthrough in the Cooperative's history occurred in 2001 when it acquired the technology, equipment, and production of AMIFIL® M and AMIFIL® P surgical threads, along with exclusive rights and trademark ownership.
